The serif letters in the tang stamp indicates this knife was made prior to Albert Baer’s purchase of Ulster Knife Company in January 1941. The steel liners indicate it was probably made during World War II after the cutlery companies had brass rationed to them circa 1942. I do not believe this knife has been taken apart. I think it is original. It does not have a snap back on the spear blade that has some shaved metal at the end. It has been restored as much as possible without any sanding.
