This is the RARE double etched Classic #23 from Tidioute Cutlery and Great Eastern Cutlery. The master blade is etched “Tidioute Cutlery”, with the “Tidioute Cutlery, made in USA” tang with the opposite tang marked as “Titusville Iron Works.” The spey point blade is etched “Model 23 Pioneer, 1 of 250”, while the mark side tang is stamped “2006 over 2007”, with the opposite tang is stamped “Great Eastern Cutlery, Titusville, PA.” Both blades have satin finish. The handles are peach seed bone, a dark color they call “River Valley Green.” Added to the nickel silver bolsters is the serial number etched with the number “184.” This is an early 2007 production that did not include any paperwork as with many early ones, but it does come with the original retail tube. This has been kept in the original box since acquired, but has been taken out several times to inspect and admire the craftsmanship. In my opinion, it is in excellent condition nearing ‘like new’.
