The Platt’s Brown Cattle Bone 3 1/2 Big Whittler pocket knife has three blades containing Clip, Pen, and Spey. The clip blade has ‘1 of 10’ etched. Clip blade Tangs have ‘C. Platts’ Sons, Eldred, PA’ on the front and ‘1992’ on the rear side. Both Nickel Silver bolsters are double fluted and beveled. The Nickel Silver bomb shield is overlaid on the bone scales. Master Cutlers handcrafted this knife with over 240 hand operations involved to finishing one knife. This has been kept in a brown two-piece box since acquired, but has been taken out several times to inspect and admire the craftsmanship. In my opinion, it is in excellent condition nearing ‘like new’.
