There are only 30 known joint covers. Linn’s Stamp News on their Jul 20th, 1992 Vol. 65 Issue 3324 showed a similar pictorial joint FDC on their front cover Stamp News.
The title says “Blue first-day in Rome“.
It also described the following ‘For some reason, Italian postal officials used blue canceling ink for the Christiansted, Virgin Island, first-day cancel, but black for the Italian pictorial. The blue ink, shown on this first-day cover, is known only on covers prepared in Rome, Italy.’
