The 1997 Case Classic Genuine Gold Lip Pearl Prototype 8340 Stockman pocket knife has a beautiful polished clip/spey/sheepsfoot point blades with ‘”Case XX” etched onto the clip point blade and “Prototype” on the other side. It comes with the original box and certificate from the Parker’s Knife Collector Service. Tangs are stamped with “Case Tested XX 19USA97” on master clip/spey blades and “Case XX Tested” on Sheepsfoot blade. As with many prototypes with exotic handles, this never made it into production. This has been kept in the original box since acquired, but has been taken out several times to inspect and admire the craftsmanship. In my opinion, it is in excellent condition nearing ‘like new’.
