This is an original Montana Territory Knives of Bozeman, Montana knife with an excellent Yellowstone National Park inspired walking Great American Bison Buffalo scrimshaw artwork. This knife is truly a work of “Montana” art as it shows the iconic scrimshaw of a walking Buffalo inspired by Yellowstone National Park set on Buffalo
Horn grips and a forged “rustic” Damascus a tribute to the wilderness of our state and scrimshaw artwork Native American Indian heritage. The blade has been forged from 1095HC (High Carbon) steel and
15N20 Nickel Carbon which is then heated and folded into 396 layers creating the astounding “Damascus” steel. The knife shows a wonderful ladder Damascus pattern. The hollow grind full tang blade has been paired with a set of nice white wild Buffalo bone grip scales which are secured to the piece using two mosaic pins and lanyard
loops. The tang of the knife has been artfully hand vine filled with thumb grip on the back of the blade. The grips have also artfully been scrimshaw etched with the image of a walking buffalo. The knife is in brand new condition. The blade is marked with the “MONTANA TERRITORY KNIVES BOZEMAN MONTANA” stamping
which shows the outline of Montana. The knife has been paired with a Great American Bison Buffalo leather hand crafted sheath.
